They call me Mom. I have had that name for over 12 years... it doesn't seem that long, yet it seems like its always been that way.. 

I am a busy body.. I am usually doing two things at once.. on a good day 3 or 4..

When I am not working or doing mommy stuff ( or playing on the internet) I do other stuff to keep busy

I have many hobbies, and many things I 'd like to learn.. I love photography and have done a of bit digital scrap booking and would like to do more. I also like designing websites although my knowledge of most programs is limited. I did make most of the graphics and the layouts on my blogs. I also make jewelry and dog bows ( they can be kid bows too!).
 I have dabbled in paper scraping and rubber stamping..I tried sewing and have realized that quits are the only thing I should work on.. they are beautiful and have straight lines. I can do that! So quilts are on my list of "projects I should do more often"

I am also the great organizer.. I love stacking boxes, shelves and other such ways to organize and store items.. I could spend days doing projects like that.. I am actually considering doing it professionally part time.

I also spend my time "doing the coupon thing" I love it but some days it frustrates the heck outta me.. I do have a pretty good food storage but its not as much as I'd like. I do not cook ( well I do, people just prefer I dont but am getting better at it)  but my family does. And there's alot of them, so I need to find the best deals on food. I do want to cook from scratch more and learn to can. I am not musically inclined nor will I ever be.. and I accept that .

Yes, I have 8 Children, yes they are all mine and yes, I had them on purpose.

I have 6 sons and 2 daughters.. and they are the prime example of why children are blessings from God.


Naming children isn't an easy task.

Jacob Cody was picked out before birth. I heard the name Jacob and loved it. Our second choice was Jared. Cody was after my BFF in Highschool. her last name was Cote.

Quinten Nicholas was chosen at 9 days old. Quinten as he was the 5th member of our family and Nicholas after myself

Abigail Rhiannon was chosen before hand when I was pregnant with Jacob. Abigail is the most adorable little girls name and I love the name Rhiannon. ( Stevie Nicks fan)

Isaac Edward was named at about a week old. Isaac was from a list of names my mother brought over and Edward is DH middle name

Zachary Michael was named a few days after birth as well. Zachary is at the end of the baby name book where I always seemed to end up LOL. Michael is a name that DH had wanted to use. He loves who it represents.

Olivia Celeste was also close to a week before she had a name. The moment I heard Olivia I knew it was for her. Celeste is my middle name.

Urijah Patrick was named before birth. Urijah was a name DH heard and loved it. Patrick is the male version of his grandmother whom he was close to.

Ezra Douglas was also named before birth. We are LDS and political. and Ezra Taft Benson was a man who stood for everything we hold dear, both religiously and politically. Douglas is another family name from DH side.

How long have I been pregnant?
not counting m/c's 322 weeks = 74 months= over 6 years +33 weeks
How many hours have I spent in labor?
169 hrs = 1 full week
How long have I spent breastfeeding?
as of today 3 years 6 mos + counting 12 mos + ( not as long as I would have liked )

My stance on the issues

I believe Marriage is a religious sacrament.. Government involvement in any way allows for the government to change the laws in regarding a Church's practices... There for I believe that there should be no state "marriage". I support a binding contract between two parties, any two parties, that gives the parties rights over ones property, and allows them to have power of attorney~ for those who are concerned about taxes and such I write more about that here http://theycallmemommanog.blogspot.com/2009/12/truth.html

In regards to taxes we should only be taxed on spending.. not income. This would also assist in the state marriage debacle because there would be no tax issues for married/unmarried couples.. The Fair Tax explains this in detail..

I believe that every woman and in turn, every child, has a right to a safe, natural, unhindered birth. I believe that forcing a woman to have unnecessary medical intervention, either by using fear or other propaganda is unfair to the mother and child.. It is my job to educate every woman I meet on the truths and lies in regards to childbirth.

We celebrate the spirit of Santa.. My kids still think he is alive. But we all know he is real. I make sure he fills our stockings.. The rest is left to the spirit.

I am not a Republican nor am I a Democrat.. I am a conservative who believes 100% in the founding fathers and the documents they wrote.. The constitution means just as much to me as scripture does.. I believe that our country was Divinely inspired.

I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.I believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. I believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. I believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. I believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.I believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth. I believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; I also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and I believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. I believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. I claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of my own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. I believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. I believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, I seek after these things.

I think that every able person should work, and should exercise provident living.. One should not live beyond their means, but instead live below them and save what they can for "the rainy day" I forsee quite a storm brewing and its gonna rain for a long time. Remember, everyone laughed at Noah too.
