When I get online I have my homepage set up to easily access the things I use to keep on track. I have some links in my bookmarks bar, but the ones I use most often are in my google bookmarks.
Just thought I'd share. I know it makes my online browsing much easier.

Clothing, Closets and Laundry
This is the kids side of the closet. Each child has 5 outfits, except the little ones have a few extra, for obvious reasons. We use color coded hangers. |
The far left tower is Pajama's. The middle one is socks, far right is underwear. The pink and white buckets are for bags, backpacks etc. |
This is our side. (Joe's arent hung up yet, He likes to keep his on his chair) I keep my extra clothes in a tote under my clothes-my socks. pj's, Ezra's cloth diapers etc go in the dresser in my room |

Jackets, sweaters, 2 each |

Church closet. Each child gets 2 Sunday outfits and shoes go in the bucket on the floor. The two totes here are one for baby boy, one for baby girl. |

Changing Seasons
last weekend I did our bi-annual clothing sort.. Its a big job.. this year it took two days.. How it works is all year I collect clothes that I like that might fit someone.. then twice a year ( according to the seasons) we sort, purge, donate, store, or hang the clothing
First we pull all the clothes out of the boxes and the closet and we make piles.. (r. to l.) Boys pants/shorts, boys shirts, girls shirts, girls pants, and pajamas

then we sort the pants and shorts.. and fold and box up the shorts- we have a box for donations as we purge at this point

then we do the same with the shirts
when its all done we match our fall/winter outfits and hang them. the pajamas, sock. undies etc go in their proper bin

For us stockpiling clothes is awesome. I do not know my exact budget but my guess is we spend less than $200 a year on clothes.. (excluding socks and undies which we buy new). The kids are always excited to do this.. They enjoy seeing the outfits they wore go to the next kid and they also like to see what is new in the pile.. For Abigail, she is glad to finally start fitting into the dresses and sweaters I bought a few years ago..

School Work Shelf
This is the main area we store our school work.. and its a bit of a job to keep organized..
Today I went thru it all, reorganized, sorted and purged.. the old stuff goes into the file cabinet
I labeled the photo to make it easier. I may post this pic on the shelf itself to remind everyone what its supposed to look like.. LOL it is a busy area
we have boxes of books still in storage.. ran out of shelves to put them on..

Laundry ... nuff said.
I think this is everyone's biggest battle.. no matter your family size
I have always liked and have at times implemented a family closet system..
Recently I did this

the kids clothes are hung, paired in outfits, on color coded hangers. the white bins are boys socks, undies and pajamas. Pink are the girls. The kids have a set number of outfits at any given time.. I try to keep at 7 each but there are exceptions. for example Jacob and Quinten have 2 sets of church clothes and a scout shirt.. in addition to their daily outfits.
the brown desk is where I put the clothes fresh from the dryer. I sort here and the kids put away their own clothes. Outfits without mathches hang out on tha table till thier partner shows up. My husband and I take out clothes to our room to put away and the 2 year old puts away the wrags and pot holders and the towels are folded an put on the red shelf. The grey bucket under that black table is crafts, the one under the wood table is sheets

I dont recall where I got the idea but a few years ago I started folding sheets like so. I fold the top and bottom sheet and second pillowcase if needed and store them inside the pillowcase.. They stay neat and tidy and I always have the set handy.
With this system laundry has been a breeze to keep up with.. Its only been a few days but thats all it takes to find out in a house like this!
