20 McCormic Seasonings bottles 10/$10... I had .50/1 coupons that doubled
4 Breyer's Ice Cream, $1.99 I had 4 .75/1 coupons
3 pkg Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs $2.49 I had a $1/2 coupons and a FREE Coupon
2 Boxes BC Supreme Brownie Mix $1.69 I had $1/2 coupons

the total before sale prices and coupons was $94.63
after coupons I paid $10.50
for a savings of $84.13

New Camera

So last week Office Depot had the Nikon Coolpix on sale for $199.99 My Kodak easy share that I had gotten for free on Black Friday 2007 was on the blitz and I need to upgrade a bit. ( the camera I want is about a grand, so for now I just get the camera I need LOL) So Saturday I go to office Depot and investigate this model, discuss with the employee and play with the demo model.. While doing so another couple come in and he turns around and sells then the last one! I was soo mad.. I spoke to the mgr on duty and left.. I get home and my Kodak is dead for good.. the lens snapped off completely from being dropped a gazillion times.. Called store mgr on Tues.. and she corrected it.. I got my camera and the sales associate got a lesson in customer service.. All is well.. I got a good deal.. and a new camera..

Quiche

This is a recipe that's easy and versatile

I am not that good at recipe ingredients LOL I just use a bit of this and a tad of that.

But this is mine

8 deep dish pie crusts ( you can make your own but I paid for the 2pk) $9.16
30 medium eggs $3.98
32 oz shredded cheese $4.80
1 lb frozen spinach $1
a bit of milk.. I dont know. 2-3 cups? maybe .25 worth

you can use ham, onions, zuccini, mushrooms etc

Louisville Zoo Trip

For months we have talked about getting up to the Science Center and the Zoo. They have a great deal on year memberships and I worked my tail off these past few weeks so off we went.

As we left Etown the sky was clear, a hint of overcast but nothing more.. the forecast called for rain and t-storms but 1/2 the time they are wrong..

Today, they were right.. we got to the Science center about 10:45 AM.. yes AM and this is what the sky looked like. we drove around the parking garage for a bit looking for a spot that wasn't there.. finally parked on the roof..the rain had let up but it was still coming down and we made a run for the elevator while lightening was crashing all around.


We got into the science center and HAD a blast!

The rain cleared up about the time we got hungry and decided to leave the center. So we headed for the zoo.

The storm had knocked out the electricity there and as we walked over to this globe the power came on the the water started running and the globe started spinning.. it started me LOL

The turtles were HUGE, this train bridge was really cool and a must have for our own yard. This male tiger smelled teh scent of a female who was there earlier and came right up to the window..

And the Orangutan.. OMGosh! he was adorable!

I forgot what these black monkey were called but they were super adorable

Isaac LOVED the penguins.. it was so fun to watch them.. but yeah, they stink!

There were 2 Bald Eagles.. both flightless due to morons with guns

Louisville Park

Last month Joe and the kids found a great park in Louisville while they were waiting for me at the dentist..So we took a trip back into town to go again..

and then we hit up our favorite spot Cici'sPizza!
