Freezing Meat

I for one have never had issues with freezer burn.. I have never used the expensive freezer bags, unless it was a "mega deal"

so when it comes to freezing meats, we are financially responsible and earth friendly

I save our bread bags.. I use them for all kinds of things..

I weigh out one pound and put it in the bag, tie a knot and add another pound. tie again.. I put em in the freezer. you can smuch them after they have been tied to stack easily in freezer.
**

when its time to thaw I cut off one pound and thaw in a plastic bowl in fridge

I do this with boneless chicken breast as well

The rainbow is a sign God gave Noah as a token of His covenant.. It usually reminds us of our own relationship with God. Rainbows are a wonderful sight, it shows us the storm has ended the calm has begun.we feel renewed.

While preparing to go to the temple I was told of all the signs to look for.. The symbols, the messages, the tokens.

As we neared closer to the temple on Saturday, rain fell softly upon us.. Just enough to offer us this... and then the sky was clear again. This was my first sign.. God was with us, especially this day.

We arrived at 9 am to the Louisville Temple...

If you have never been to the temple then I cannot begin to relay to you what happened over the next few hours. It was a beautiful experience. The emotions I felt are indescribable.. I was overcome several times. In the end Joe and I were sealed in marriage for time and eternity and then our children were sealed to us as an eternal family..

I am thankful to our Church Family who took time from their days to assist us and be part of this wonderful ordinance. They worked wonders gathering items and helping prepare us and 7 children to be dressed in all white. They came and showed their love and support. Our Brethren and Sisters make us feel so loved.

I am a very blessed woman.

Weeks gone by

I cant believe we have been here in Etown for 8 weeks.. is doesn't seem that long and it seems like we have been here forever.

I am working at a local vets office.. Its a great work environment and time will only tell if its a permanent job.. The grooming dept needs to be expanded to be functional, and they do have plans to do so.

I still have this strong desire to be home.. And I also know we need to be business owners.. So my plan was to buy a professional sports team and sit back and enjoy. ;) Now to decide which team LOL

The kids are growing so fast.. Urijah is a little bull dozer.. he has t hat walking thing down a is at it full force.. Olivia is the ham of hams and is a 2 year old genius.. Zachary is doing excellent with his potty training.. he is even teaching Olivia.. Thanks Zach! Isaac is, well, Isaac.. my evil dictator LOL.. He never had terrible two's.. so he's trying out the terrible 5's. We have decided this week to take a new approach with him.. So he is officially one of the "older boys" He may be little in size but in his head he is a big kid. Abigail is still the princess. Olivia wants no part of that role with the exception of painted toenails and a pretty in her hair.. Abigail has made a few friends we hope to spend more time with this summer.. Its good to finally have girls her age around.. Quinten is doing great at scouts. His leader says he's the best behaved kid and loves every minute of scouts. Jacob gave his testimony last week at church.. I was so proud.. he kept saying he wanted to go up, then would say he was scared.. I'd tell him everyone is nervous the first few times.. In the last few min he got up and spoke.. I am proud and sad at how grown up he is.. 10 years goes by real fast.

Joe is working a few nights at McD's.. He likes it and they like him.. it was hard at first dealing with the kids, but they have all adjusted to it and now apologize when they say something inappropriate.. Some are now asking his advice.. So this has not only become a part time job but a missionary experience as well.

I will add a few pics later..
